Susan Farris is an experienced expert witness. She is a Registered Nurse, Legal Nurse Consultant Certified (LNCC®) and Certified Nurse Life Care Planner (CNLCP®) with more than three decades of nursing and medical-legal experience. She analyzes and interprets medical records, summarizes complex medical literature, and evaluates medical billing for accuracy and necessity. Susan prepares detailed expert reports and life care plans, offers independent recommendations, and provides expert testimony in both plaintiff and defense cases in personal injury and employment litigation.
Before joining RPC, Susan spent over 20 years with State Farm Insurance as a Specialist in Medical Resources, where she analyzed thousands of injury claim files, trained attorneys and claims professionals on medical issues, and participated in special investigative projects addressing billing practices and medical necessity. She also has extensive clinical experience as an operating room and emergency room nurse.
Susan is board-certified as both a Legal Nurse Consultant (LNCC) and a Nurse Life Care Planner (CNLCP®). She is an active member of the American Association of Nurse Life Care Planners (AANLCP), the International Association of Rehabilitation Professionals (IARP), and the American Association of Legal Nurse Consultants (AALNC).
