Dr. Maria Veihl is an economist with RPC providing expert testimony, economic analysis, affidavits, and expert reports on economic damages in personal injury, wrongful death, wrongful termination, and commercial litigation cases. She prepares expert reports and testimony on loss of earning capacity, loss of support, loss of household services, and the present value of life care plans. She also evaluates the reasonable value of past and future health services.
Dr. Veihl brings a strong background in applied economics, finance, and econometrics. Before joining RPC, she served as an associate at Analysis Group, where she applied data-driven methods in litigation consulting to support matters involving business strategy, valuation, transfer pricing, and intellectual property disputes. Her work included valuing private companies using discounted cash flow, market comparables, and transaction-based approaches, as well as assessing damages in securities and intellectual property litigation. She also advised corporate executives and legal counsel on competition, innovation, and evolving business models across industries such as fintech, venture capital, and digital markets.
In addition to her consulting and research experience, Dr. Veihl has an extensive background in teaching and academic instruction. She has taught courses in international finance, investment and portfolio management, and strategic management at institutions including Colorado State University, the University of Colorado Boulder, and the University of Utah. She has also served as a graduate student instructor at the University of California Berkeley Haas School of Business where she taught finance.
