Kim Pyburn is an experienced expert witness who has testified on life care plans for plaintiffs and defendants. She is a Certified Legal Nurse Consultant (CLNC®) and Certified Nurse Life Care Planner (CNLCP®) with over 15 years of experience. Kim prepares detailed life care plans and medical records analysis.
Kim served on the Board of Directors of the American Association of Legal Nurse Consultants (AALNC) from 2012 to 2020, including a term as national president from 2018 to 2019. She is also an active member of the American Association of Nurse Life Care Planners (AANLCP) and the International Association of Rehabilitation Professionals (IARP). She currently serves on the International Association of Rehabilitation Professionals (IARP) national committee as a member of the Consensus and Majority Statement work group in preparation for the 2025 Life Care Planning Summit, a Member-at Large on the Forensic Board, and member of IARPs Marketing Board.
Before joining RPC, Kim worked for more than a decade as an independent Legal Nurse Consultant, specializing in litigation support for complex medical-legal issues in civil cases and practiced as a registered nurse in critical care and emergency settings, providing direct patient care to acutely ill and injured patients. She served as an Advanced Clinician in a major hospital emergency department and as a Critical Care Transport Nurse, where she managed high-acuity cases during interfacility transport and trained new clinicians.
Kim Pyburn has relocated to Nashville, making RPC’s expert services more accessible to Tennessee attorneys and their clients.
