Additional Information
Dr. Mercado is a licensed psychologist and specializes in neuropsychology. She received her Ph.D in Counseling Psychology and graduated with honors in 2004 from Texas Woman’s University. After completing her internship with Brooke Army Medical Center in July, 2003 she continued on with a Neuropsychology Fellowship at University of Texas Health Science Center/Audie L. Murphy VA Hospital until August 2005.
As a proud member of the National Academy of Neuropsychology she currently holds a position on the Women In Leadership Committee. She is also associated with the International Neuropsychological Society. She has presented at numerous conferences and shared valuable information with her peers to aide in the advancement of patient-centered treatment plans. Her background in neuropsychological disorders has been recognized and she has served as a forensic consultant and an expert witness.
