Research & Planning Consultants, LP has an immediate opening for an experienced project manager. This position reports to the Operations Manager and is responsible for project management of personal injury and commercial litigation cases. This includes coordination with RPCs Personal Injury and Commercial Coordinators. The Project Manager works with the Operations Manager and Coordinators to ensure workflows are established/personnel assigned and tracked for each project for all deadlines.  The Project Manager advises RPC’s management committee on key performance indicators and the need to recruit additional staff due to business volume or other factors.

Qualifications:

  • Several years of experience working as a project manager or operations manager in a law firm, consulting firm, healthcare organization or other professional organization.
  • Experience managing many active projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills to communicate effectively and tactfully with professional staff.
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, and to exercise discretion and good judgment
  • Proficient with WORD, EXCEL, OUTLOOK, and SMARTSHEET preferred

Duties:

  • Project Management utilizing project management software, currently SMARTSHEET.
  • Schedule consulting staff, support staff, consulting associates, physicians, psychologists, and other consulting associates to work on projects.
  • Monitor and assure appropriate progress in preparation of reports and back-up materials. Assure deadlines are met.
  • Advise the Operations Manager and the management committee when additional consultants and consulting associates are needed.

Location and Hours: The RPC office is at 6300 La Calma Blvd. Austin, Texas. Staff within reasonable commuting distance of the office are expected to have a hybrid schedule. Staff living outside the Austin area are expected to come to Austin for orientation and as needed but may live anywhere with excellent internet connectivity and reasonable access to a commercial airport. We have excellent IT support. The person must be available for calls and meetings between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm Central Time. Some evening and weekend work is required to meet project deadlines.

Salary and Benefits: This is a full-time, salaried position with benefits. The beginning salary range is $130,000-$160,000 annually based on certifications and experience. We offer a potential annual bonus based on the performance of the individual and of the firm.
